Villanelle (one of the two main leads) seems to be openly bisexual. She’s had hookups with both men and women on-screen and has a clear fixation and obsession with Eve (the other main lead). Eve isn’t explicitly LGBT+ yet but she also shows clear signs of fixation and obsession towards Villanelle that definitely doesn’t seem straight (to the point where the question of whether she’s into women has literally been brought up by another character) so they’ll probably be going down that route with her eventually. The showrunner has also given out comments where she confirmed that the relationship between the two of them is meant to be seen as sexual. So yeah….it’s gay.

As for whether I recommend it….that really depends on your taste lol. It’s a really violent show with really messed up themes. The relationship between Eve and Villanelle is the heart of it but it’s a very fucked up and twisted dynamic. (I do ship it but only as a dark ship…the way it’s meant to be shipped). Villanelle is a literal murderous psychopath and their obsession with each other seems to be dragging them both into destruction. So if you’re looking for that pure and healthy type of f/f ship….this show won’t be providing it for you.  

I’ve been loving the show so far because it’s entertaining and the majority of the important characters on it are women. I also find the relationship between Eve and Villanelle fascinating in all it’s fucked up glory because I’ve never seen a relationship like the one they have between two women.

If that sounds like it would appeal to you, definitely give it a chance! It’s a fun show.
