If you like superhero shows, go watch black lightning.

If you like shows about social justice and plots related to current events, go watch black lightning.

If you like slow burn romances or old lovers possibly rekindling a romance, go watch black lightning.

If you like shows focused on a family unit, go watch black lightning.

If you like media with women at the center of the action, go watch black lightning.

If you tend to follow shows with canon lbpq women, go watch black lightning.

If you like to see a lot of beautiful people in your shows, go watch black lightning.

I’m not a big fan of superhero stories but I really enjoyed it because it’s centered around a family, has women at the center of the action, and there’s a canon lesbian. (Her sexuality wasn’t brought up in the pilot but it’s been confirmed for sure and her girlfriend has already been cast.) It was a really impressive pilot and it’s a show that a lot of different people could find something to enjoy. Check if out if you haven’t already.

I forgot to put that it airs on the CW and that you can watch the pilot their website right now.

hey but…showing up to watch black lightning is cool and all, but if y’all wanna make a difference in supporting it you really gotta show up on social media. livetweet that shit, tweet the actors and the network when you watch to let them know you’re tuning in. the reason sp//n has been able to survive on shit ratings for years and years is because the network knows people are watching because they’re talking about it. that’s how cw determines success. through social media. just fyi.

Bringing this back since Black Lightning premieres in two weeks, Tuesday January 16 at 9/8 c after the Flash. Make sure you tweet about it don’t just liveblog on tumblr if you really want to show your support.

Make sure you use the hashtag #BlackLightning

Every single white lesbian who has spent years complaining about the lack of lesbians on screen had better support The CW’s Black Lightning.

Anissa Pierce (portrayed by Nafessa Williams):

is a canon lesbian with superpowers (who goes by the name Thunder) who has, among other abilities, the power to make herself invulnerable (this means she’s essentially unkillable-although she can be hurt/injured!)

Her comic-canon girlfriend Grace Choi (Chantal Thuy) has already been cast:

Grace is half-Amazon, and has superhuman durability and rapid healing abilities-which also help to make her relatively invincible!

Also, they’re really cute in the comics:

So basically-support this lesbian, interracial, basically invulnerable couple on the CW’s Black Lightning-airing January 16th, 2017!!!!!
